A custom website and staff workspace for a veterinary clinic in Morayfield, with everyday editing tools and clinical review built into pet-care publishing.

From the first build to today.
I built the clinic’s original website with WordPress and Divi around 2019. This time, I designed and developed a custom website and staff workspace, drawing on the skills I’ve developed in the years since. The work centres on clear information for pet owners, manageable updates for staff and clinical oversight of pet-care advice.
What I built.
- Carried forward content and photography from the original site into a responsive website, with clear paths for phone bookings, urgent care and non-urgent written enquiries.
- Built a custom Website Workspace for updating pages, team profiles, FAQs, hours, closures and scheduled notices. Previews, revision history and checks against conflicting edits help staff manage changes.
- Created a pet-care publishing workflow where an authorised clinician approves the exact article version reviewed. Staff can prepare a new draft while the approved version stays public; technical administrator access alone cannot grant clinical approval.
- Built enquiry handling with message validation and duplicate protection, plus an optional encrypted archive for accepted enquiries. Written enquiries are kept separate from bookings, emergencies and clinical records.
- Added aggregate reporting for page views, link clicks and accepted enquiries, without storing visitor identifiers or enquiry text in analytics.
- Brought setup and launch decisions into the staff workspace. Prepared URL mapping, release checks, backup and restore tools, and a documented rollback approach.
The delivered work.
The result is a website and editing workspace shaped around the clinic’s day-to-day responsibilities: useful information for pet owners, manageable updates for staff and clinical oversight of pet-care articles.
